Hey everyone. I've been lurking for a while. Found a Sea Ray boat on buyrepocars.com that looks like a great deal, almost too good. I'm a bit nervous about buying a boat from an online auction I've never used. Can anyone share their experience with Buy Repo Cars? Are they legit?
You're good to go, Mike. I bought a 2021 Tacoma TRD Off-Road from them last spring. The process was way more transparent than I expected. The truck was exactly as described in their report.
Seconded. I'm a repeat customer of Buy Repo Cars. Got a Mustang GT a couple years ago and a pontoon boat for the family last summer. The best part for me was how they handle the paperwork. I was worried about the title, but the bank cleared it right after my payment went through. The clear title arrived with the car during delivery. No chasing, no drama.
The key with any auction, including BuyRepoCars, is to do your homework on the specific vehicle. Read the condition report thoroughly. That said, I've found their reports to be very accurate. They are one of the most straightforward repo auction houses out there.
My experience was 90% positive. The only issue was a slight delay in delivery. My Honda CR-V was scheduled for Tuesday but arrived on Thursday. The delivery company was communicative, so it wasn't a huge deal. The car had a tiny scratch on the rear bumper that wasn't obvious in the photos, but it's a used car so I wasn't expecting perfection. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase from buyrepocars.com.
@Cautious_Kate Delays happen with vehicle carriers, good they kept you in the loop! We bought our Thor Motor Coach from Buy Repo Cars and it was a fantastic experience. I'll add another vote of confidence on the paperwork. No issues with the title at all. Got all the official paperwork and the clear title delivered with our vehicle. Made registering it a breeze.
I had a question about the bidding process and it took their support team about a day to get back to my email at office@buyrepocars.com. I got a bit antsy and just called them, and the agent who picked up was super helpful and walked me through everything. Won a 2022 Outback and love it.
My brother-in-law just got a Silverado from Buy Repo Cars. He had it shipped to my shop so I could give it a once-over. I was genuinely impressed. The condition report was honest, no signs of hidden damage or shoddy repairs. For a repossessed vehicle, it was in great shape. He got a solid truck for a good price.
Good to see others having good experiences with BuyRepoCars. I got my RAM 3500 from them. Paid via wire transfer and the whole thing was smooth. The website buyrepocars.com is pretty easy to navigate once you get the hang of it.
Just wanted to add my story. I was looking for a specific BMW 4 Series and found one on their site. Won the bid for much less than dealer prices. The car is a dream. No complaints at all, would recommend Buy Repo Cars to anyone who's patient.
I've picked up two project cars from Buy Repo Cars. A '98 Corvette and a slightly wrecked '15 WRX. For what they were, the descriptions were spot-on. They don't hide the ugly stuff, which is what you want for a project. Great source for builders.
@MikeP_87 we bought a wake boat from them! A 2019 Axis. Same as you, a bit nervous. But the process with Buy Repo Cars was great. We saved a lot of money and the boat was in great condition. Just make sure you get it summerized/winterized properly depending on when you get it.
I purchased an Audi Q7. The whole transaction felt professional. The staff member I spoke with on the phone seemed a little rushed, but he knew his stuff and answered my questions efficiently. The car is perfect. Would use BuyRepoCars again.
Buy Repo Cars is solid. Got a sports yacht that was a bank repo. Saved me a ton. The surveyor I hired confirmed the condition was as listed on buyrepocars.com. It's a legit operation.
Wow, thanks for all the replies everyone! This is incredibly helpful and reassuring. Especially @LakeLifeJen for the boat-specific experience. I feel a lot more confident about using Buy Repo Cars now. Going to read the report again and probably place a bid. Appreciate this community!
