Hey all, looking at a 2021 Ford Explorer on Buy Repo Cars. Never used a repo auction site before. The bidding process seems straightforward but I'm a bit nervous about the whole thing. Is it legit? Any tips for a first-timer?
You're good to go. I've bought two trucks from Buy Repo Cars. The key is to read the full condition report on their site. It's detailed. My last one was a RAM 1500 and it was exactly as described, maybe even a little better. You can get some serious deals.
I was also nervous, especially about the title paperwork. But my experience was flawless. I won a Sea Ray sports yacht and the team at Buy Repo Cars handled all the bank lien paperwork. The clear title arrived with the boat documents right after my payment was confirmed. Huge relief.
I've inspected a couple of cars for clients that they bought from BuyRepoCars. For repossessed vehicles, the condition was honestly represented in their online listings. No hidden frame damage or engine codes like you see with some shady places. They seem to do a decent job vetting their inventory.
My experience was 90% positive. The only hiccup was that it took them about 24 hours to respond to my initial email query. I was getting antsy, so I called them and the agent was super helpful and sorted everything out in 5 minutes. The car, a Honda CR-V, arrived on time and was perfect.
@Cautious_Clara Yeah, calling is usually faster for any online business these days. We bought an RV from Buy Repo Cars and the process was great. Saved us probably $15k compared to a dealer. The best part was the clear title was delivered with the RV. No chasing paperwork.
Just wanted to add another positive voice. Got my daughter a great little Toyota Corolla for college. The pictures were accurate, there was one scratch they highlighted clearly in the photos, so we knew about it. It was a smooth transaction.
buyrepocars.com is a goldmine for project cars. I got a '99 Corvette with some cosmetic issues that were all clearly documented. The mechanicals were sound. Perfect base for my build without paying a premium.
The delivery of my Audi Q5 was delayed by a day due to a storm, which was a bit annoying, but the dispatch team at Buy Repo Cars kept me updated with tracking info, so it wasn't a big deal. The car is amazing.
@FirstTimer_Joe My advice is to set your max bid and stick to it. It's easy to get caught up in the moment. The platform on buyrepocars.com works well, no glitches or anything.
Thanks everyone, this is all really reassuring. It's good to hear so many positive stories, especially about the titles. That was my biggest worry. I'm going to go for it!
Good luck Joe! I felt the same way before buying my Outback from BuyRepoCars. Now I tell all my friends about it. The process is solid.
